I am in the States until mid-May, and am glad to be visiting my birth land and loved ones. Fortunately, the visit syncs with the Women’s Center of Greater Lansing’s fund raiser Words of Hope and Healing (follow link for locations and time). If you’re in the area, join us and support the Women’s Center! WHH includes prose, poetry, and song about journeys of healing . It’s the 2nd year for the event, which bears witness to and gives testimony by survivors of violence. WHH takes place during Sexual Assault Awareness Month and within a week of Take Back the Night.
